References

page 63 note 1 A complete recording of the Aperghis piece is available from Disques Montaigne.

page 63 note 2 Those interested in Finnissy's work should note an excellent disc recently rereleased by the Hoist Foundation's NMC label (NMCD002), featuring Michael Finnissy playing piano music by himself, Chris Newman, Howard Skempton and Judith Weir. (See Paul Driver's review on p.42 – Ed.) Highlights include a sensational performance of Finnissy's own Kemp's Morris and weir's little played An mein Klavier. This is the only currently available recording of the fascinating and rewarding music of Chris Newman.
