* Spring Fire was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Norman Del Mar at a Royal Festival Hall concert on 5 October 1983. The other works discussed received studio performances in the course of a 12-part Bax centenary series on BBC Radio 3.

* The Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra conductor Peter Fletcher, gave the first performance of Douglas Young's work on 15 May 1984 in Leicester Cathedral. The Carter and Dallapiccola were also performed on the 15 May, and on 28 May all three works received their London premières at the Royal College of Music.

* TEMPO 151 will include Claire Polin's interviews with Alfred Schnittke and certain Soviet women composers.
