Models of steady thick accretion discs around a Schwarzschild hole*

An outline is given of a project to model thick accretion discs around a black hole. A simple shear viscosity is assumed and the effects of radiation transport and thermal conduction neglected. Preliminary results are given for the equatorial structure of the model discs.
