2. Andreev (1895-1973) was at this time chairman of the party's Central Control Commission, a high trade-union (VTsSPS) official, and minister of transport.

Pavel Petrovich Postyshev (1887-1940) was secretary of the CPSU CC in charge of agitprop and organization in 1931; Iurii Figatner (1889-1937), an Old Bolshevik, was a VSNKh and VTsSPS official and a member of the presidium of the Central Control Commission. In the 1930s he was a high official in the wood-products administration.
