La República Árabe de Egipto ratificó, el 9 de octubre de 1992, los Protocolos adicionales a los Convenios de Ginebra del 12 de agosto de 1949, relativos a la protección de las víctimas de los conflictos armados internacionales (Protocolo I) y no internacionales (Protocolo II), aprobados en Ginebra el 8 de junio de 1977.
