Changes to Author Names
01 Oct 2021

PASA, represented by the Editorial Board, understands and appreciates that people change their names for a variety of personal reasons. We further especially understand the importance of retroactive name changes on previously published articles and we pledge to support our authors in this process to the best of our ability, with minimal bureaucracy and maximal confidentiality.

Our publisher, Cambridge University Press (CUP), is currently working on developing policy consistent with COPE guidelines (https://publicationethics.org/news/update-cope-guidance-regarding-author-name-changes), guided by high-level principles (https://publicationethics.org/news/vision-more-trans-inclusive-publishing-world).

In the meantime, if you want to change your name and/or other related information, such as email addresses containing names or name fragments, we ask you to please contact at your preference either the publishing ethics team at CUP (publishingethics@cambridge.org) or our editor-in-chief, Stanislav Shabala (Stanislav.Shabala@utas.edu.au).
