^{page 261 note *} This achievement is described by Dr. Prattinton in his MSS. in the Society's possession, vol. xxvi. under the parish of Ombersloy. It seems to have been found in a garret, and he saw it in 1798 before it was restored. He suggests that it may have come out of the old manor-house.
