These experiments investigated the efficacy and safety of the use of anabolic agents for finishing cull dairy cows over a two month period before slaughter. The safety of the treatment was assessed by measuring the residues of trenbolone acetate (TBA) and its metabolites in samples collected during the treatment period and at slaughter.
