Notes
1 Of the 59 Scottish MPs in the UK Parliament, 41 are members of the Scottish Labour Party against a single Conservative, while 11 are Liberal Democrats, and 6 belong to the Scottish National Party. This would imply a loss of about 15 per cent of Labour's 257 MPs in the current parliament, while the Liberal Democrats would lose 19 per cent of their 57 sitting MPs.
2 The dependency ratio is the ratio between pensioners and the working population.
