Abstract

Reflectance spectra of the stage 1 and 2 compounds of graphite intercalated with Hg-K amalgam are reported for the range (0.2-5.8eV). A Kramers-Kronig analysis was performed on the spectra to determine the dielectric function ∊1(ω) and ∊2(ω). The intraband and interband contributions to ∊(ω) have been separated to determine the plasma frequency and free carrier lifetime.
