Abstract

Gemfire is developing a novel wall-mounted display technology called Polymer Switch Matrix (PSM). Featuring significant advantages in performance, manufacturability and scalability, it represents a fundamental change in the way flat panel displays are designed and manufactured. The perceived market opportunity, operating principle, system architecture and feasibility demonstration of this radically new laser based technology are described.
