Abstract

Amorphous polyolefin substrate is very suitable for magneto-optical disk; it has small birefringence, small water absorption and good moldability. Because of these advantages, magneto-optical disks using amorphous polyolefin substrates have excellent reliability in read/write and mechanical characteristics.
