On the occurrence of varlamoffite at the Sardine tin mine, North Queensland, Australia

Summary

A new occurrence of varlamoffite is described, and the results of chemical analysis, differential thermal analysis, and infra-red spectrographic analysis are presented. It is suggested that varlamoffite is of secondary origin resulting from the attack of meteoric waters on stannite.
