page 301 note * I have no access to a copy of Napier’s tables but on calculating the values of Napier’s logarithms from the corresponding hyperbolic logarithmes, it appears that these numbers should be corrected as follows:

The hyperbolic logarithms of 2,3 and 10 which are used her have obtained form Adams’ paper in Proc. R. Soc. (1878) 27, p.299. The value of log 2909 I have calculated from the formula . The values are
