Nothing is known of the eggs and larvæ of Turritella communis and, except for the young shells which have already metamorphosed, those of Aporrhais pes-pelicani are also unknown. The following descriptions are therefore new, both molluscs having been kept in plunger-jars until they laid their eggs.
