The purpose of this bibliography is to provide the researcher with a listing of all the necessary documents for an exhaustive legislative history of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 as amended. Because the Act has its foundations in both legislative and executive studies, as well as reports and activities from previous Congresses, this compilation extends back to the 91st Congress (1970-1971). A bibliography of relevant readings is provided to give the researcher additional background information. The bibliography extends back to 1978.
