Shear-Folding in the Mylor Slates, near Porthleven, Cornwall

Abstract

Recumbent shear folds and their related structures in the Mylor Slates are briefly described. It is concluded that folding has been produced by subhorizontal shearing stresses acting in a northwesterly or south-easterly direction.
