Resumen

Para someter a prueba la hipótesis de que un número mayor de nacimientos en verano es un factor de riesgo para el síndrome de déficit, se estudió el mes de nacimiento en 53 pacientes esquizofrénicos con déficit en comparación con 158 pacientes sin déficit. No se observaron diferencias significativas desde el punto de vista del mes o la estación de nacimiento entre los pacientes con y sin déficit, lo que indica que los nacimientos en verano pueden no ser un factor de riesgo para la esquizofrenia de déficit.
