It has come to our notice that a quantity of text in the above paper has been replicated from another entitled ‘The role of ribavirin in the therapy of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever: early use is promising’, which was published in European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases 2009; 28: 929–933. The authors of the latter paper were: N. T. Fisgin, O. Ergonul, L. Doganci and N. Tulek. Three of the authors were therefore the same for both papers. Most of the replication occurs in the Discussion section of the paper appearing in Epidemiology and Infection. Copyright in the replicated material is vested in the publishers of European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases.
