Pliny's Panegyric had already been edited under the aegis of the Association Guillaume Budé by Mr. Marcel Durry (1938 and 1947); it had of course also endured the attentions of successive Teubner editors of Pliny, whose ravages were considerably repaired by M. Schuster (1932–52).
