Abstract

Eighty-three butterfly species are credited to the fauna of the Yukon Territory, with an additional three deemed questionable. Species enumerated represent a compilation of both historic and current literature, and the records of collectors. The total includes previously unpublished records from the Canadian National Collection, but does not include unpublished records from any major museums in the United States. Approximately 30 collectors contributed field data.

Résumé

Quatre-vingt-trois espèces de papillons sont dénombrées parmi la faune du Yukon, et trois espèces additionnelles sont jugées douteuses. Le dénombrement repose sur la compilation de la littérature ancienne et courante, et sur les données de collectionneurs. Le total comprend des mentions non-publiées provenant de la Collection Nationale du Canada, mais n'inclut pas de mentions non-publiées provenant de musées importants situés aux Etats-Unis. Des données de terrain ont été fournies par environ trente collectionneurs.
