AN AIR-FILTER HOOD FOR THE CONTROL OF LEPIDOPTERAN SCALES

Abstract

A hood incorporating a removable air filter and an electrostatic dust precipitator reduced the numbers of air-borne scales around laboratory workers handling insects, thereby reducing the occupational hazard of allergic reactions. The hood is mobile and easy to maintain. Construction details are provided.

Une hotte aspirante qu'incorpore un filtre et un precipitateur de poussière électrostatique réduit la quantité des écailles dans l'air autour les assistants de laboratoire qui manipule les insectes, et de cette façon reduit le risque du métier des reactions allergiques. La hotte est mobile, et facile d'entretenir. On a donné les details de la construction.
