REVISION OF THE COLENIS OF AMERICA NORTH OF MEXICO (COLEOPTERA: LEIODIDAE: LEIODINAE: PSEUDOLIODINI)

Abstract

The Colenis of the United States and Canada are reviewed. Three new species are described: Colenis (Colenis) bifida n.sp., Colenis (Colenis) stephani n.sp., and Colenis (Colenis) ora n.sp. The Colenis subgenus name Carcharodes Hlisnikovsky is preoccupied: Colenodes is proposed as a replacement name.

Résumé

Les espèce américaines et canadiennes du genre Colenis sont revisées. Trois nouvelles espèces sont décrites : Colenis (Colenis) bifida n.sp., Colenis (Colenis) stephani n.sp., et Colenis (Colenis) ora n.sp. Le sous-genre Carcharodes Hlisnikovsky du genre Colenis est un homonyme plus récent : Colenodes est proposé comme nom de replacement.
