Extract
Goschen arrived in Copenhagen to lake up his post as Minister on 31 July. On 9 October he left again for England in order to welcome his elder son on his return from the war in South Africa. Accompanied by his wife, he set out again on 20 October for Copenhagen. The Goschens remained in the Danish capital for the remainder of the year.
