page 263 note 1 It is a surprise to find on p. 217 a distinction made between ostraca (i.e. here potsherds) and fragments of limestone. This is against the usage of Egyptologists and also that of Crum (e.g. Coptic Ostraca, pp. x, xi), all of whom employ the word ostraea for both materials.

page 265 note 1 The position of sene in No. 62 is against its being the status constrnctus of an imperative.
