Some Dipterous puparia resembling, and found among, those of tsetse flies

Extract

The puparia of some Cyclorrhaphous Diptera resemble and are found among those of tsetse flies (Glossina spp.). Those of Plesiocyptera sp., Argyrophylax aureiventris (Villen.) (Tachinidae) and? Physocephala (Conopidae), are described and illustrated, as are the larval cephalopharyngeal skeletons recovered from the puparia.
