From time to time in the United Kingdom and other countries skim-milk is locally in plentiful supply and very moderately priced. It is of course successfully utilised in the fattening of pigs, but it seemed to us that it might also be a useful feed for store sheep. Two feasibility studies were therefore carried out in 1964.
