1 The World Peace Through Law Center, recognizing the critical contribution of UNHCR to the international community, in 1974 instituted a project seeking to increase the number of parties to these instruments. Additionally, it has established with the International Law Association a Select Joint Committee to engage in a two-year study of what other measures need to be taken to augment the international legal protection of refugees.
