On Jan. 1, 1938, ratifications of the convention had been deposited by 15 American States, as follows: Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, El Salvador, Venezuela. The text of the Code consists of English, French, Portuguese and Spanish versions.
