Summary

International economic law is facing a critical juncture – a time of uncertainty that requires important decisions by states and international organizations that will have an impact on many for years to come. In addition to other challenges, the Covid-19 pandemic exacerbates the regressive effects of climate change that disproportionately impact the poor, whether in wealthy or emerging economies. Without adequate action to help the most vulnerable and marginalized segments of the population, including Indigenous peoples, the future of globalization looks rather bleak.
