The previous section of the book was written with the intention of describing how we might be able to influence the psychological processes that contribute to terrorism. To that end, Chapters 3–6 each contribute something different to our understanding of how violent extremists seek to persuade their audiences and how we can produce our own persuasive communication that challenges extremist messaging.
