Geography is both a vast and fascinating subject. It encompasses physical, human and environmental topics, not to mention geology, map-reading, weather and climate change. Its impact on our lives is more than most of us can imagine and for this reason it is an important subject for children and young people to investigate. Fortunately, there are a number of excellent organisations, such as the Royal Geographic Society, that provide information and learning resources to support the study and understanding of geography and related issues. The resources below are arranged to include organisations offering a package of geography topics followed by those focusing on specific aspects. These include: the Environment; Natural Disasters; Tourism; Water; and Weather (Climate Change). Resources for Geology are also provided.
