Summary
The cherche cowe ys lett after thys maner to Thomas Singleton to kepe the stoke; that is, if the cowe doo dye, to make good the cowe be prysse or walue as the parhysse shall be content, and the whych prysse is 11s. 2d. (?), paying for the hyer [of the] sede cow 2s.
Item the sayd Thomas hathe [hired] the sayde cowe for the space of 6 yeres after the covnant afore reherssyd, that is from the 21 day of Octobor in the y[ere] of our Lord 1543 tyll the end [of] the 6 yeres. Yf the sayd Thomas [die] or goo forthe of the town, this bargen to seesse.
Memorandum that it is agreed that the churchwardens shall yearely share in the keepinge the deed of the towne lands.
