BHR increased ranking in latest ABS listing (08 Mar 2015)

The UK Association of Business Schools' Academic Journal Guide 2015 has awarded Business History Review a 4 in the Business History and Economic History category, an increase from 3 in its last report (2010). Only one other journal achieved a 4 in this category.

BHR sees another increase its Impact Factor (05 Aug 2014)

We are delighted to announce Business History Review has again increased its impact factor to 0.725 (from 0.548) in the latest journal citation report issued by Thomson Reuters. It is ranked 82 out of 110 titles in the business category and 6 out of 36 in the History of Social Sciences category.


Sturgis Leavit Award (05 May 2014)

María del Carmen Collado's article Entrepreneurs and their Businesses during the Mexican Revolution,published in Business History Review 86 (4), received the 2013-2014 Sturgis Leavitt Award. This award is given annually by SECOLAS (South Eastern Council of Latin American Studies) for the best article on a Latin American or Iberian subject published by a SECOLAS member. http://www.mtsu.edu/secolas/article_award.php


BHR 2012 JCR IF announcement (24 Jun 2013)

We are delighted to announce Business History Review has again increased its impact factor to 0.548 (from 0.444) in the latest journal citation report issued by Thomson Reuters. It is ranked 90 out of 116 titles in the business category and 13 out of 33 in the History of Social Sciences category.

Published for The President and Fellows of Harvard College. The pioneering journal in its field, Business History Review, began publication in 1926 as the Bulletin of the Business Historical Society. BHR seeks to publish articles based on rigorous primary research that address major topics of debate, offer comparative perspectives, and broaden consideration of the subject. We are interested in the history of entrepreneurs, firms, and business systems, and in the subjects of innovation, globalization, and regulation. We also explore the relation of businesses to political regimes and to the environment.
