Summary
The list of publications doing business school rankings is long and the list of the various criteria used in evaluating schools is even longer. The most prominent publications include the Financial Times, Forbes, Business Week, The Economist Intelligence Unit and The Wall Street Journal. And the criteria used are typically based on some combination of current student surveys, graduating student surveys, alumni surveys, recruiter surveys, data supplied by the schools, research assessments, return on investment for alumni five years after graduation.
To try to make some sense of all this, the Financial Times has come up with a methodology to combine the rankings of MBA programs from various publications into one table.
The Financial Times also ranks executive education programs. So far, other publications have not yet developed ranking methodologies for such programs.
