4 - Structure
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 08 November 2019
Summary
Having described the architecture of the legal mind, identifying in the process the three mechanisms that work in concert to solve legal problems, I would like to shift the focus in this chapter somewhat to consider the structure of legal thinking. The main thesis defended in this chapter is that the structure in question is a product of the combination of two approaches to problem-solving: top-down and bottom-up.
