The basket star Gorgonocephalus eucnemis is a common ophiuroid resident of rocky bottoms and artificial substrata at depths of 8 to 1,850 m, and in the eastern Pacific is distributed from the Bering Sea to San Diego, USA. This paper presents a new record of this species obtained with a submersible at Guadalupe Island, Mexico (29.10976°N, −118.25417°W), which extends its distribution range over 400 km, and corresponds to the southernmost site of occurrence of this ophiuroid in the eastern Pacific.

The spiny basket star Astrocaneum spinosum is an ophiuroid found in coastal waters of the tropical eastern Pacific. This paper presents a new record of this species from off the coast of Ecuador and an extension of its distribution range of some 1200 km to the south.

The ringed basket star Astrodictyum panamense is an ophiuroid resident of coral and rocky reefs from the central and southern Gulf of California and oceanic islands from the eastern Pacific. This paper presents new records of this species obtained from fieldwork and internet sources, and includes its northernmost and westernmost occurrence in the eastern Pacific (Adair Bay, Gulf of California, and Tortugas Bay, on the Pacific side of Baja California, respectively), as well as Roca Partida Island, in the Revillagigedo Archipelago.
