Cryoablation and microwave ablation are commonly used techniques to reduce tumor burden in unresectable neoplasms. This retrospective study demonstrated low risk for infectious complications (1.4%) following these invasive procedures. Abscess formation was the most common infection around the ablation sites. All infections were successfully treated with imaging-guided drainage and antibiotics.
