Raman and Cathodoluminescence Study of Electron Irradiated Bssco and Ybco Ceramics

Abstract
Electron irradiation damage induced in high Tc superconducing ceramics is studied using microRaman and cathodoluminescence. The formation of extended impurity phases is dominant in BSCCO, while oxygen loss and disorder is the main effect observed in YBCO, in this case the local oxygen loss is quantified.
