Magnetic Properties of YBaCuO Crystal Prepared by Quench and Melt Growth Process

Abstract

We report a new process which enables the production of YBaCuO that shows high Jc in the presence of magnetic field. Then we show that magnetic properties of such materials can be understood in terms of the Bean critical state model. Giant flux creep is absent even at 77K in such samples.
