The Medusa Mitrocomella polydiademata and its hydroid

Extract
The hydroid, hitherto unknown, of the leptomedusa Mitrocomella polydiademata has been reared from medusae collected in the Firth of Clyde. The growth and structure of the hydroid and the stages of development of the medusa are described and figured.
