1 Sadly, Professor Lipstein passed away on December 2, 2006, just a few months after completing these interviews. A memorial service was held in Great St. Mary's University Church in Cambridge on March 10, 2007 at which several notable colleagues and friends contributed reminiscences about Kurt Lipstein's career. It is a sad coincidence that his demise has engendered a good deal of renewed interest in his life and work.Google Scholar
