Four Reasons are advocated to stress the interest of Fabry-Perot Spec-trographs (F.P.S.) as potentially useful instruments for the future Very Large Telescopes :

  1. - Reasonably wide spectrum of Astronomical uses

  2. - Good use of Telescope area

  3. - Relative cheapness

  4. - Versatility
