TWO NEW SPECIES OF APHIDS (HOMOPTERA: APHIDIDAE) ON ALDER AND BIRCH IN INDIA

Abstract

Neobetulaphis chaetosiphon n. sp. from Alnus nepalensis D. Don. and Betula spp., and Betulaphis longicornis n. sp. from Betula utilis D, Don. and Betula sp. are described. The taxonomic position of the aphids with respect to closely related species is discussed.

Les auteurs décrivent Neobetulaphis chaetosiphon n. sp. sur Alnus nepalensis D. Don. et Betula spp., et Betulaphis longicornis n. sp. sur Betula utilis D. Don. et Betula sp. La position taxonomique de ces pucerons est mentionnée en rapport avec les espèces plus voisinées.
