Abstract

A new subspecies of Ornithoptera croesus Wallace, O. c. toeantei, is described from Morotai Island, Indonesia; an annotated illustration of a gynandromorph of O. croesus lydius Felder from Halmaheira Island is presented.

Résumé

Une nouvelle sous-espèce d'Ornithoptera croesus Wallace, toeantei, est décrite ici de l'île de Morotai, Indonésie, de même qu'un exemplaire gynandromorphe d'O. croesus lydius Felder de l'île de Halmaheira.
