* As stated by C. J. Becker ([1], 242) this type of cist is not common in Jutland before the Bronze Age, although it is the typical stone cist on the Danish islands in the Late Neolithic. A few Late Neolithic cists of this type have, however, been found in the same area as the Fjallerup grave (e.g. NM Copenhagen A 31166–9 Dalgaard, island of Mors, Thisted county, and A 20948–55 Jestrup, Thisted county, both with early flint daggers).
