Summary
It would be typical to start such a book with a phrase: “change is immanent aspect of the future.” However, we would like to point out a different aspect. What does a change require? Both actually making it happen and also adapting to a new reality. What does it require from managers? This book demonstrates how change influences many areas of management. We believe that the world is standing on the very edge of the fastest industrial revolution ever. A revolution which will rapidly increase the efficiency of many production processes. Some say that the development of AI will solve most of our problems. In our opinion the need for the activity of human beings will be even bigger.
With this book we try to provide the reader with information about miscellaneous parts of life and the social-economical environment. For this purpose, we have invited authors representing the leading scientific research centers in Poland but also specialists from foreign universities. We believe that everyone can find some valuable knowledge from his or her field of interest here. The book can be read as a whole, but it can also be done selectively to become acquainted with separate chapters depending on the reader's needs. Time is precious today more than ever.
