Summary

This chapter offers an in-depth look at three important Beat little magazines: Yugen, Beatitude, and The Floating Bear, as well as a discussion of Big Table. It explains how these magazines fostered subterranean networks that promoted and expanded the Beat sensibility in literature and culture. It also offers in-depth discussions of the poetry of Bob Kaufman.
