Ethnomusicology With Chinese Characteristics?—A Critical Commentary

Extract

Today in China, “ethnomusicology” has commonly been considered in a broad sense as a discipline covering all studies of music except Western classical music. The current article also deals with ethnomusicology in China in this broad sense.
