Special Issue of Studies in Second Language Acquisition, July 2021
Call for Proposals
Studies in Second Language Acquisition (SSLA) is now entertaining proposals for the thematic issue of Volume 43:3, to be published in July 2021. Thematic issues of SSLA focus on areas of current interest and are an excellent venue to bring together in one issue numerous approaches to a problem or methodology in the field of SLA. For examples, see previous special issues of SSLA.
A proposal should include a rationale (two pages plus references) for the thematic issue and abstracts (250 – 300 words) from the authors of the manuscripts that the editor intends or expects to include. Note that the articles in a special issue can belong to any of the article types published in SSLA. These include: Research article, Critical Commentary, Research Report, Replication Studies, and State-of-the-Art Review.
Proposal submissions are due by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 20, 2019. Other manuscript and production deadlines are as follows:
September 20, 2019 Proposals due in SSLA office
October 25, 2019 Final decision reached
